Your Responsibilities

As an experienced planner, you will play a central role in Norrköping's long-term urban planning.

We are at a stage where we are strengthening and developing working methods related to continuous urban planning, digitalization, feasibility, and anchoring in the processes. You will have an important role in this development work. The role allows you to work with an innovative, analytical, and creative approach, where you find new approaches, see opportunities, and connect insights from various sources to strengthen the strategic understanding and overall perspective in the municipality's urban development.

We are looking for someone who enjoys leading and coordinating complex planning assignments with a focus on strategic planning issues and comprehensive planning. You will often work in project form, where the ability to understand and weigh multiple perspectives is a central task. Contact and collaboration with colleagues internally in the municipality as well as external actors is an important part of the role.

There is a lot happening in the municipality and within the development of strategic and comprehensive planning. With us, you will work both independently and with colleagues in a mix of assignments that utilize your knowledge and give you the opportunity to explore new areas.

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced planner with at least five years of experience in urban planning and/or strategic planning, as well as several years of experience in project and process management within complex urban development projects. You have a relevant academic background as an architect, landscape architect, urban planner, or other equivalent education.

You thrive in a project-oriented work style where you lead and collaborate with smaller workgroups and larger project teams. To succeed in the role, we see that you lead others through effective delegation, utilize individual competencies, and empower decision-making. You are reliable, take responsibility, and deliver as expected. You work in a structured and planned manner, have strong strategic thinking, and the ability to translate visions and goals into clear strategies.

You communicate proactively and attentively, share information openly, and incorporate others' perspectives while creating good conditions for collaboration and shared responsibility.

You have excellent knowledge of Swedish and express yourself well in both speech and writing. You have good communication skills and are used to adapting your message according to the audience and context. Knowledge of GIS is an advantage.

Norrköping is in an exciting phase of development with high ambitions for the future. As a planner, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the municipality's long-term visions and contribute to a sustainable society for future generations.
